  22. There was a good reply to this, but another possibility that wasn't mentioned
  23. is portamento. This effect causes changes in notes to slide (like one of those
  24. cheap whistles with the plunger you had when you were a kid).

  26. This effect would be pretty good for slide guitar and other stringed
  27. instruments but wouldn't be so hot for clarinet I don't think.

  29. Very few sound boards seem to support this, although I haven't checked
  30. specifically - anyone disagree? I don't know offhand if the GUS supports this.

  34. Power Chords doesn't do any transposition via MIDI (it doesn't exist). I think
  35. the most likely thing is that your MIDI Mapper has a key map that shifts
  36. playback up by 1 octave (as mentioned in the previous digest).

  42. There is not any libraries of patterns available from us other than drum patterns. There is an opportunity there if someone wants to

  44. In Power Chords Pro you can import chord rhythms from other Power Chords
  45. files, or have them generated by the program. You can also translate other
  46. parts into chord rhythms, from PC or from MIDI files. You can also record
  47. chord rhythms from a keyboard.
